The WebAuth app essentially serves as Proton Wallet 2.0 – faster, more powerful, and more secure than before, but built by the same team that you know and trust. And much like its predecessor, it is a non-custodial wallet - meaning the Private Keys are stored locally on your device.
⚠️ If you are planning to migrate your Proton Wallet account to the WebAuth app, we strongly recommend backing up your private key before proceeding.
Before starting
- IMPORTANT: Backup your Private Key from the WebAuth Wallet
